In mapping out the wraparound design for this Bromley project, our architects made sure to prioritise two things: social space and garden views. As keen gardeners themselves, these London dwellers wanted to make sure they could enjoy their green haven both inside and out. For this reason, we came up with the following design.
In mapping out the wraparound design for this Bromley project, our architects made sure to prioritise two things: social space and garden views. As keen gardeners themselves, these London dwellers wanted to make sure they could enjoy their green haven both inside and out. For this reason, we came up with the following design.
A key component of this design is the glazing. We wanted to allow natural light to pass through the entire household. For this reason, we have included bi-fold doors to the back of the home, skylights above, and floor to ceiling windows further back. Glass doors have also been included next to the utility room, allowing all the light from the kitchen diner to travel back into the rest of the space.
Our research shows that having glazing in the home isn’t just good for your mental wellbeing due to the effect natural light has on the body, it also improves your happiness levels by connecting you to your surrounding green spaces - something we wanted this project to capitalise on.
Having connections is one of the most important factors in designing a space which promotes wellbeing. This is why it's always important to think about how you like to socialise at home. Do you prefer to keep things casual at dinner by perching at a breakfast bar? Or is a formal setting more your scene? Maybe you like to mix and match. With this project, we gave the homeowners plenty of socialising options in their dining space. What’s more, thanks to the wraparound extension, we’ve been able to accomplish this without the room becoming overwhelmed with chairs (a common problem in modern homes).
As they entertain their Bromley guests, these homeowners will be able to cook and chat at the same time, thanks to our clever arrangement. Those of you with a keen eye will also be able to spot the placement of our skylights, which bring light to the areas where most of the food prep will be taking place - showing that architecture can be both beautiful and practical.
What you can see here is a selection of 3D renders of a proposed wraparound project. Our team is able to create such models thanks to our commercial grade scanners. During the measured survey process, we’re able to use laser scanners to collect millions of data points that help make designing in 3D possible and also further help our customers (and local authorities) to envision the space.

Resi are a great investment
Resi have been great. We knew we needed help and saw a couple of “all in” firms before we found Resi. The others were extremely expensive and not as flexible as Resi.

Second time I am using Resi
I have found them to be better in terms of ideas, accuracy and efficiency than any other architect I have worked with.

Excellent providers
Quick, reliable and resourceful. The third-party providers used have been very helpful, well priced and provided an excellent service.
